Followers of Jesus Christ are royalty! We are the adopted children of God. The all-powerful, all-knowing, and all-present Creator of the Universe has adopted us in his family. This means that we are royalty and heavenly heirs. However, as adopted people, we continue to struggle with what it means to be royalty. We still “fall short of the glory of God.” We do not consistently live out our royalty. Sometimes, we live exactly like we are royal children of the Most High God. Other times, our thoughts, words, and actions are no different than those who have not been adopted and redeemed. We often live insplashes of royalty. This book of poetry and prayers expresses what some of those Splashes of Royalty look like and helps us move toward living in the stream of royalty.
